Stahlkoffer on a round the world trip

Just received this picture from Andy Malnick who bought a set of Stahlkoffer Panniers & is travelling round the world on a red & white R1200GS. I think he is somewhere on the border of north/south America.

i've been looking at his other recent posts and they are just spaming for business too...
Brent if you took an active part and joined in on the site a little leeway would be given... but all the the posts i've looked at are selling related... i've had to go back to 19/12/07 to find a post from you that wasn't sales related.
Please follow the Vendors guidelines and keep your posts referring to STAHLKOFFER to the Vendors section unless directly asked by someone in other threads.
i'll merge this into the vendors thread and delete some of the other spam posts
 
Stahlkoffer Panniers

Just thought I'd like to share some photos & a comment from Mick King in Tipton, West Midlands. He recently bought a set of Stahlkoffer Panniers & the latest addition to the Stahlkoffer range:the Stahlkoffer table.
Mick spends most weekends camping in Wales.

Well worth the wait, the luggage was absoulutly perfect, especially the inner bags and the table conversion that meant we got even better use out of the luggage.

Any pics fitted to a R1150GSA?

particularily interested in around the exhaust area so I can see the width of the panniers vs. the BMW ones I already have.
 
Stahlkoffer Panniers

Just for information Stahlkoffer are now plastic coating their pannier frames instead of powder-coating them. Not only do they look better but they are much more hard-wearing.
Despite inevitable vibration, tests to date do not show any significant signs of wear.

Offset Pannier System Lhs

Only negative that i can see is that the system is offset on the Lhs to allow for the exhaust, making the pannier unstable and perhaps unbalanced, any thoughts...feedback appreciated...:nenau
 
PIMP YOUR PANNIERS

STAHLKOFFER are now offering a service whereby panniers can be powder-coated to match the colour of your bike.
Pictures will be available as soon as my computer is able to access the internet but early indications seem to be very favourable.
