Well, I have finally come to the conclusion that varios are not the first choice panniers due to side loading and lack of space in the nearside one so I am thinking, on a limited budget, about a pair of Stahlkoffers for the trip to Europe in July.
However I am a little spooked by a previous poster on this forum stating that his 1200 developed a weave at 80+mph!

Any of you chaps have the same problem?

Are GSA tins the way to go?

Do I keep the varios?

I've got a pair of Bernie's originals on my 58 plate GSA, can't say I've noticed any wobble or weave at any speed, they're good on interior space, just wanted the bike to look a bit different from the crowd. The padlocks bang a bit and you do notice a bit of a drop in economy fuel wise

I can imagine the fuel consumption dropping Sniper1 but wouldnt that happen with any flat sided pannier?
Do you think the Stahlkoffers offer much more in the load capacity stakes and are they easier to live with than the varios (if you had them)?
What about speed and ease of removal?
