Just wondering if any one has had the stainless bolt kit from Steptoes, and if its any good. Does it come with Torque settings. :beerjug:

Stainless Kits

I brought a stainless bolts kit for my 04 GS last year, they certainly tidy the bike up as the standard bolts seem to attract rust. I brought mine on Ebay from Shaw Stainless, I think I paid around £65. Torque settings are not supplied but are listed at the front of each chapter in the Haynes manual so are easy enough to get. If you do fit stainless bolts, remember to put a suitable grease (I used copper slip) on them when fitting as apparently aluminium and steel don't mix to well.

Wasn't there a note on here recently about torque settings and using copper slip, on the rear diff I think and the potential to shear off a bolt?
