Stainlee steel nuts and bolts

paul, indeed deal with gser enthusiast anyday when possible.
and yes if necessary they are near swan.

vern well done sounds like you have found a market here.
Are you going to sell in kits or like you suggested batches of 50 thanks:) :)

Vern,

I would like a batch for the 1150GS if there is enough to go round.

Right,ok,here we go then. What I'll do is have a good look around my bike at the weekend, and see what's needed to do most of the fitting in stainless.I wasn't really thinking of trying to make a kit up,rather get loads of nuts and bolts and split them up into buckets.I don't think that there are any M12 bolts on the bikes,so it would be a waste of time sending those out.I'll let you know what happens. How does 100 of M6,M8 and M10 sound, with a hand ful of nuts bolts and washers thrown in.

Only me,I've just priced up some bolts to replace the ones on the front brakes. They're quite expensive because they're awkward sizes. There are twelve bolts in a kit, four hold the calipers to the fork legs, and eight hold the calipers together. The price, how does £2.50 sound, and £1 for post, packing and beer. Then you can see what sort of quality they are.

I've now put a little kit together for you to try out,it consists of the following;-
4Xm10 bolts for caliper to fork leg mounts
8Xm8 bolts to hold the calipers together
4Xm5 screws and washers to hold the black belt cover on
12Xm6 screws and washers to hold the front cover on
All this for the outrageous price of £5.25 (now £6.75) see below, including post, packing and a couple of beers for me for doing all the running around.
If you want some, send a cheque for £5.25 (now £6.75) see below, made payable to A.J.Vernon to;-

I'm picking them up on Friday,so as soon as I get your cheques,I'll put them in the post. And don't forget to tell me where to send them.
Cheers
Vern
PS. Motor works sell the bolts for the front cover for a mere £10.60+p&p:confused:

One or two problems here chaps. I've posted off five packets of bolts this morning, and I though I never had much money left in my kitty when I walked out of the post office, I was convinced I'd been ripped off. Guess who forgot to add the £1.50 postage to the jiffy bag,:doh. Anyway, that's my fault, and the worst thing that can happen is you five just get a better deal. After the post has arrived on Monday, the price goes up to £6.75, still a bargin though.
Second problem is my fault as well. I'm pretty sure that the adventure has different brakes to the other bikes, so the brake bolts I sent you won't be much use I'm afraid. Don't bother sending them back, but if someone wants to tell me the size of bolts they need, I'll sort it and send them on. :D
I'm looking for some really smart bolts for the discs, I'll let you know when I find them.
You should get the bolts on Monday,so any problems, just give me a bell. I haven't banked the cheques yet, so let me know if you're happy with the kit, then I'll bank them. How's that sound:D

Had my kit hand delivered by Vern and the lurvvvvely Lucy... top quality stuff at a very, very realistic price

Waiting for me when I got back this afternoon - many thanks :thumb

Two pints when we next meet or I'll put a cheque in the post for the difference - your choice!

MikeO:)

Are there any packs left?

Just picked up this thread, must have missed it before!

Are there any left? Can I have £6.75 worth?

I have a standard 1150 GS

Don't bother sending a cheque for the difference, unless you have already,in which case thanks.Just buy us a pint when we bump into each other. Are the bolts what you expected:confused: I might have sussed out some nice stainless button heads to do the discs with,I've just got to check they're 12.9s,if they are,I'll add them onto the list.:D
Mike o,are the bolts any good for the Adventure,If not tell me what you need, and I'll send them on.Cheers all

Vern, I'm going to get my dealer to pick the bolts up this week (top quality stuff, BTW). I'll ask him to check the caliper bolts & let you know (mine's not got ABS, if that makes any difference  ). 2 pints are marked on your slate. No, on mine. I think....:beerjug:

Could you check about postage to Belgium ? I would like to get a set each of metric and imperial . I have an old BSA that could do with some TLC. If Belgium is a problem for the post I could maybe arrange for someone near Stoke Poges to bring them over to me . Also - don't have any cheques over here - could I either wire you the dosh via bank transfer - send me a PM with your bank name, number and their SWIFT code or I could maybe try and sort our some Sterling via registered post. ....or Euros ? What do you prefer ?
Cheers
