Thought I'd try posting this here. I have a 2003 1150GS servo ABS. Concerned about the correct torque to use on the front caliper bolts. The manual I downloaded states 40Nm, this is the same for the rear, which are M10 while the fronts are M8. Torquing the fronts to 40Nm didn't feel right so I haven't gone that far, about 35Nm.

All those who've fitted these, what have you done?

I used copperslip and fitted washers, these weren't on the bolts as standard but shown in the manual. However in another part of the manual where the discs are fitted / removed, the caliper washers are not shown??

Also, the S/S cap heads are of a smaller diameter than the original Torx bolts, won't this make a difference as well?

OK lets build a database here...I have an early 1150 with brembo brakes, the bolts are 8 mm front and rear, SS bolts fitted 2+ years ago (never used copper grease there). No washers. I've been using 40 Nm for the last 20k miles with no problem.
