Advice guys please.
Bike died on me yesterday after a few seconds, restarted first time then died again. This happened about 5 times left it to ring work n tell em I’ll be late, went back n grabbed a hand full n it started. Rode for 5 mins then died again, went through same routine n managed to get back home. Just been out to it n its fine now, running sweet.
It lives outside wi no cover, hoping its cured with a squirt of WD or ACF.
Advice on where to shove mi little red straw would be gratefully appreciated. :nenau

This happened to me too. Not sure what the proper name is but its to do with water getting into the fuel pump electrics controller thingy. Mine was fixed under warranty. Not sure where it is I'm afraid as I'm relatively new to the bike. Sorry not much use but it might help you identify the problem.

Thanks for the reply GSoh, :thumb I'm a total Ludite myself wi mechs but i'm sure some wizard will have the answer they've let me down yet.

remove left tank panel, and near the top of the tank is a round black vent unit, remove this and the pump elecs are behind there

It'll definately be the fuel pump controller, will cost you £47 and take about 2 minutes to replace but make sure you order a new gasket as well as the controller comes minus the gasket.

Exactly the same problem with my 18 month old bike last week. Wollaston replaced the fuel pump controller and everything now back to normal.

Cheers fellas,
Got a call out to work tother day so I fired her up first time n sounded fine so I thought I’d risk it, 15 mins down the M65 it cut out. Called out a very nice man from BMW rescue n he turned up with a new fuel pump controller. Fitted n back on the road courtesy of the warranty. Couldn’t believe the amount of water it was carrying n not draining away.
Cheers Nozza
