Hi,

I suspect the answer to this is no, but can someone tell me whether the standard BMW topbox for the 1200GS is big enough for two full face helmets or do I need a Givi?

Thanks,

David

Indeed it will only take one full face hemlit.

There are also a couple of full face helmets that simply don't fit in the top box at all :(

Just watch out what Givi you go for - Don't just go by volume :nono

I have a 46ltr Givi that won't take a helmet at all :nenau

Agree. Mine will take my Arai but not my Shoei.

:yelrotflm I like that better,I thought you were the man sitting on the right!

:eek A+ Pogo

Yeh but at least the runs would be adventurous.....suggest a mystery tour next time!!:bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1

My Givi 450 takes two full face lids.....

This is my 46ltr Givi which won't take an Arai Corsair :nenau

(Unless I've bought a "slightly smaller" topbox  )

If it's like a small vanity case style. ie. has a handle then it could be the 36ltr box which is usually used as a pannier.

Mmmm......... not sure if I like the "Vanity Case" analogy :ymca , but you may have a point - could be an E360, although it was advertised as E460.

Anyway- it's as big as will be going on the back of the BCR, and even that looks a bit "ungainly" (in a masculine kind of way :spitfire )

I know what you mean AL, maybe the "case with the well defined handle" would have been more manly! It does sound like you've got the E360 which I used a pair of as panniers on my last bike. I can definitely get two Arai's in my 46ltr box, base to base and the fit easily.
