Anyone know how to fix the Standard Accessory Socket (The one on the N/S under the seat) when the socket is no longer giving power. - 2005 R1200GS?

Tested it - no power - tried connecting my CanBus charger, but the charger keeps a red light flashing indicating no connection.

I used to use it for a CanBus charger and pumping up my air mattress etc.

Then one day - no power.

(I have a seperate socket near the speedo wired through a seperate fuse panel so I have been using that since).

Mine did the same in 2004, turned out the wiring at the back of the socket was corroded, the copper wiring had turned green and needed to be cut out and replaced.

Have a look at the wires going into the plug that connects on the rear face of the accessory socket.
