I quite like the look and sound of the stock silencer so decided to get it ceramic coated gloss black including the little heat shield. Camcoat did the job for £133 including vat and post.
Nice finish, maybe a little translucent in bright sunlight giving the black a brown tinge, but overall very happy. Looks good on my triple black :)

Very nice - do you remove the hanger?

Yes, the hanger is only two little torx screws. Debated doing this black as well, but decided to leave it to break the black up a little.

Thanks for the comments, the finish is very nice. It's pretty much smooths out the finish making it easy to clean with a wipe of wd40.

Camcoat were good, turnaround was less than a week.

My dealer has powder coated mine like this for free I will see how it looks when I get the bike Friday! If I don't like it I will order a black Akrapovic.

had some stuff done by camcoat a lot cheaper than most ceramic coaters ..that can looks great i also think the standard can sounds better than the Akra, yours looks as good too

The hanger aquadipped in a carbon fibre finish would finish the look off just nicely. Super job, it's great to have the option of this ceramic finish, I wonder would the finish hold up on the headers???

edit: ok, I just had a look at their website and the answer to my question is yes. Another thing on the "to do" list.

Nice idea with the carbon :)

I went for the ceramic finish as it should be more resilient than powder coating. Time will tell I guess.
I didn't use my original can but picked up a used one for £40 just incase it turned out crap.

Nice job fella, i thought about doing it on my TB last year but Bottled it, might be a winter project, thanks for posting

Looks good. Can we have a pic of the whole bike with the new exhaust?

id go the whole hog and decat the standard headers and have those coated ..would look great

It looks like they coated some of the end cap - is that right? Or does the cap come off?

That looks nice!

End caps are plastic and were removed by myself prior to getting them coated. They are held on with 3 torx screws. Just a trick of the light Stonehenge.
