I'm getting pain in the tail bone with the standard seat, anyone else suffering/suffered from this and managed to get rid of it by changing seats?
I'v searched under seats but couldn't see anything regarding tail bone (coccycs)pain. Anyway suggestions welcome and no doubt abuse too.

I damaged my coccycs a few years ago. It took almost two years before it healed and I had no pain. I actually changed from a Vtec to the GS during this period and did suffer somewhat as I was sitting squarely on my butt. The forward lean on the VFR meant I had a relatively pain free time.

Give me a pm as I have the tall seat fitted to my GS (I hated the standard seat profile), so you can try that out to see if it makes a difference. At least it'll give you some idea if that's the direction to go.

You can try my Russell seat ,so long as you over 6 ft . Give me a shout ,hated the stock seat.

Being a skinny runt I'm literally sat on the bones of my arse and have found both the GSA single and 1100 twin seats uncomfortable after an hour or so. I had an airhawk which improved things dramatically but didn't like the way i moved around on it and the faff on of taking it off whenever I stopped somewhere. I've currently got a corbin which is very good but also very wide. This is a bit of of a pain when off-roading as it makes it harder to get my legs on tera firma.
I think it's just a bit too big for me as I tend to end up quite close to the tank and the deep area of the corbin is further back to accomodate the "fuller figure" :D It's a vast improvement over stock though.
I've just bought a touratech enduro style seat to off here to try, first impressions are that again it's probably better than stock but not as good as the corbin for long distance.
The missus goes to the states with work later in the year and I'm going to get her to pick up a sargent seat while she's there. I'm hoping that might have the benefits of the cobin without being so B!oody huge!
Oh and any weight saving you think you might have made on the bike will be instantly undone by adding a corbin:D

Be a tight arse like me!!!!

I got a second hand seat offa here, ripped a little but didnt matter, and I paid £60 to have it recovered with some industrial strength bubble wrap (I got from a friend) hidden underneath and individually wrapped in wadding.

Me and the Mrs did 6,200ish miles for our "honeymoon to hell and back" and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Tony Archer in Huddersfield is THE MAN!!!! Go see him and tell him what you want and im sure he will accomodate.
