I'm thinking of buying some tt panniers. I read somewhere that the kit panniers with a cut-out for the exhaust can have problems with things getting too hot. Anybody had any experience of this? Should I opt for the standard panniers?

Thanks
Mo

The First Question is What Bike.
The Second is , whats your intended use.
You do of course know that there are lots of other Pannier makers that
make all different types for all different uses.
Whats your Budget.

If you buy the Special Set (with the cut-out) as a kit, it includes an extender pipe for the exhaust.

It works.

Mosaito, I have the "Special" Pannier kit on my GSA and, as Mike P says, the connector pipe works. If you choose to use the panniers without it they will get hot. I had a new rear lower mount made out of billet alluminium because I did not like the look of the connector pipe and when I used the panniers without it the lower mount melted....... BADLY:o
I then decided to fit a stubby exhaust which sounds better and now causes no problems with the panniers...:D
