New GSA has the Garmin Sat nav mount fitted but where do I plug in the jack plug from the Starcom so I can hear instructions music and stuff?

Hi Newboy. Yes, it does. The cables from the sat nav mount go down to a plug and junction box above the right hand radiator. I'm not sure what the plus for as no cables come out of it?

I may be wrong but I think you'll find the bike has a BMW nav mount not a garmin.

Yes, but it's the same unit. How does the BMW sat nav connect to a Starcom or any other bike communication unit?

Yes its the same unit, but I believe the cradle it fits into is different. The normal Garmin cradle (a 660 ) is a small one without the surround that the BMW nav has. Incidentally, the Garmin 660 mount has a wiring loom to which you attach a CAB 66 cable which plugs into the Starcom.

PS since its a new bike , has it got the twiddly wheel thing on the left handlebar ?. If so , I don't know if you can get a Garmin to provide audio as BMW has configured its nav system differently to a standard Zumo.
