I have a 2025 G/S (R12) ... I've noticed that on starting, it's best to hold the starter until it fires up (instead of just a blip on the starter). Now that is totally normal EXCEPT that when you don't get it running straight away, it seems to cutout (the starter) within a couple of seconds i.e. you can't turn it over for more than a few seconds. Anyone else experienced similar?

You normally have to hold the starter until it fires

the only bike i know which appears to be push once - start, is my wing, and i'm not sure if it is , it just fires

And as Paul has said, it' to prevent you killing the starter and electrics

wait till you get a price on a starter , :D:D
