Starting problems

Just purchased 2012 Bmw r1200gsa.
When I hit the start button the bike acts like the battery is bad, the first second you press the starter, the engine turns then dies, then kicks in.
It's like the battery as a dead cell. I've fitted a new battery but nothing as changed.

What's is causing the problem, if its not the battery?

Maybe a crappy starter or some device you fitted is draining it.
