Starting to look like a bike again

Bob

I'm up for it, just back from Morocco and Sahara and the Basic didnt miss a beat - even when dropped next to Erg Chebbi. What's the deal ?

The event Kenny is planning on being at and the one I'm hoping to get a pass-out to is Gerry & Tim's Snowdonia Extravaganza on 20-22 June. Further details are onhere.

I believe 'H' is going to this one he suggested back in December on that very thread he would be???

As for the airhead gathering - oh dear Bob you know the girls who ride the real bikes are gonna be sooo pissed with you for suggesting this. I know they don't usually read our crap but sometimes a mole like scurrell comes down here to make mischief so I don't think our master plan is at all safe

The mudguard is Acerbis Baja with plasric support.
The yellow cheese was striped with paint stripper (ugly and messy job).
If the airhead gathering doesnt materialized, you are all invited to a desert blast here. Midsummer, 35 c in the shade, cool stuff.

Up and running!!!!

Managed to tune it enough for a short round. Still afew back fires, usually while coasting.
But it goes nicely, a very much improved throttle response, and that without using more than a fifth of it.
The seat is also redone in proper red and black, and sudenly the look of the bike is nearly HPN without the longish legs.

A "real" photo (not from my shagy camera) will follow soon.

does the pd tank fit straight onto a standard bumblebee? looks a beaut.

Wow

This is a surprise.

Yes, you'll have to change the indicators. I'll put photos an a web album and send a link.

Just got back from 2 days in the desert with the bike - 5 years on and still the best tool for travel.
