Just tried fitting a Stebel Magnum horn to my 2008 GSA (ESA) and have failed miserably :blast

There isn't enough room and it either fouls the forks or the front suspension unit

Anyone managed it and where/how did you find room ????

there are a few threads on this...at least one on the 1200gs sub section page 1.

Search and all shall become clear :)

Panic over, managed to fit it in the gap set aside for the emissions canister thingy (fitted on some US bikes) :thumb2

Its angled up over so I fully expect it will fill with water but I'll get the drill out if it does and make some drainage holes :augie

The magnum is definately a bit louder than stock but the tone of it is a lot deeper and generally not as :ymca

i really do not see the point in changing the horn.i really can think of a lot more to do with my time and money.
only my opinion:rob

Depends if you've ever had somebody reverse into you despite you repeatedly using the horn and them not hearing it or alternatively somebody pull out towards you on a dual carriageway to overtake not knowing they are moving straight into your path.
In my book £10 is small price to pay for something that might prevent you being in an accident.

So you're happy with the little moped-like "meep" that it emits which cannot be heard at anything over 30mph?

I can think of many things which people change which are LESS important that changing the horn. You are entitled to your opinion, of course.

Any chance of a pic? I'm struggling too.

Thinking about fitting one to my newly aquired GSA as well - is there any reason why it couldn't be fitted to the centre member of the frame under the beak with a U bolt? As far as I can see it wouldn't foul the suspension.
