OK, done a search but no results for a 2013 and onwards GS LC.

Actually bought a Ring manufactured, Nautilus copy and it is quite big. Anybody fitted one in a discreet location, if so where ?

Hi
There is a video on youtube showing an installation on a LC GS. I bought a Natulus to fit but frankly when offered up its far too tight! one slight movement could easily compromise steering / suspension travel. I personally would not fit as per the video (between forks / from frame head tube) there is a bracket available to mount off lower engine bars but does not look too good? I went for a louder single horn which mounts in place of the pathetic original horn (Nippy Normans) but still needs a bespoke connector (again Nippy Normans) & a waterproof relay (fused power supply from aux +ve terminal) as will trip the CAN BUS system otherwise. No doubt some wag will comment that a horn is only needed to compensate for poor riding - my view is ride defensively but have the back up of a loud horn as a last resort
hope this helps

Thanks for that, I have just watched it and yes it does look a bit tight. I take it that if I proceed, I need that connector with yellow wires if I am to keep the original connector intact.

Its best to keep the original wiring connections intact. Nippy Normans do the plug in adapter you need for peanuts

Yes I looked on his website BUT I wouldn't call £16 plus I expect delivery charges, as peanuts.

Ok, I don't intend to cut any wires but that doesn't mean that this little connectors price isn't a rip off.

Just because the bike cost £14700 new, which BTW I didn't pay, it doesn't justify the mark up on that.

Out of interest, at what price point would you say it was too expensive relative to the cost of the bike,£30, £40, £50 ? or would you say "that's ok, you buy an expensive bike so what do you expect"

I would have said, for what it is, £5 would be nearer the mark, but hey ! we all have a different view of the world.

Its all down to supply & demand, its a relatively unusual connector, given someone has had to either locate supplier / possibly have manufactured in small batches, I cant see what the problem is? you my be able to find the same connector elsewhere, but how long would that take? Time is precious, much prefer playing with the bike myself rather than trying to split pennies? My 14 plate GS TE cost me £11k, for me, that's a lot of money for a weekend plaything I wouldn't mess up a mod for beer money myself

I've been following this thread because I'm quite interested in upgrading the horn on the bike. The problem I have is that I have no idea what the replacement horn options sound like, and won't order one until I know what is sounds like! I don't suppose there is a website with audio samples of horns, that anyone knows of?

I fitted a FIAMM Mini Blaster from Nippy's.

It comes with a bracket which I put a bend in to and used the original horn mounting point.
The bend moves it towards the offside, away from the fork tube.
It can now be seen from the offside but I don't see it as a problem.
In conjunction with the original it is good and loud.
