I have seen quite a few BMW1200 gs for sale with spoked wheels as opposed to steel. I must admit i think i prefer steel due to the unknown maintenance issues of spoked. Any advice of that? Mind you I won't do anyhting until i sell my 05 VFR Vtec :)

get spokes, look much better and I don't think I've read anything about higher maintenance, better if you're planning any sort of off-road stuff as well, the very informed folks on here will no doubt swing by with their thoughts

:D

The spoked wheels take more looking after to keep in good condition, but they are a lot stronger. If you intend to do more than moderate offroading, the spoked wheels are the ones to have.

Apparently Belgom Alu is one of the better cleaners as it leaves behind a wax coating so you don't have to do quite as much cleaning.

I think you'd find that steel wheels would be a bit heavy on a motorcycle. The GS wheels like almost all other motorcycle wheels are made from aluminium alloy.

spoked wheels

Sorry where do you get Belgom Alu ?

I dunno' as I've not actually bought any myself yet :)

It seems to be freely available - have a search for Belgom on the site and you'll see it comes up fairly often. I did a quick Google search and there were several hits - I'll let you take it from here :D
