Left this morning for work but had to turn back because I was unable to make it to the end of the street on a steep slope. I have done it before in the snow but this time it was simply unfeasible. A mix of good quality snow and some ice underneath forced me to take the car (also tricky but safer) for the second time in two years now.

I considered a set of these "snow claws":

Anyone has any experience with them? Should you fit them to both front and rear or only rear?

Tnx for the feedback

I have often wondered what happens when you go around a corner with those things on, one second you will have grip the next.......Uh Oh. :eek

You ain't going to be able to go fast enough with those on to even consider leaning over in the corners. From the website:

"But caution. The snow claw should be driven only at slow speeds. Consider that the front wheel on ice or snow can break out accordingly.

We must develop ourselves expressly from accidents or falls during a travel with snow claw can acquit.
"

Says it all really.

nice use of 'unfeasible' there :thumb

Simple,

Rap some polly rope round your wheels....... ;)

Easy............... :thumb

GS + steep hill + ice = not good..........

The Wunderlich ones look much better and are about the same price.

I don't get it. Must be me or my bad English... :o

I did'nt find ''unfeasible'' in my dictionary, but I found ''feasible'' = possible to do.
So I guess ''unfeasible'' means it's not possible to ride in the snow?

Looks like a valid solution! Tnx for that. Considering a purchase here. I just wonder how the wheels will look like after a ride with a set of these (scratches etc...)

Is there anyone who has tried them out yet?

Cheers
