What are the options for a damper on the XChallenge, now mine is running so well high speed cruising is easy for the engine but not the chassis. Get to an indicated 90ish and it starts to weave. I'm thinking thats just how it is, high mudguard, 21inch front etc. Any advice or recommendations for a damper?

If your off road doing 90 then the damper will help. If you are on road then just acept its a trade off with tires wheels and frame geometry. Front wheel will still be light., even with damper, just sit central and light hold of bars. Or slow down...

I do all of the above bar slowing down. Just want to know if there is a bolt on unit available really.

No worries, Im sure someone will come along saying they have something fitted..

There used to be a bolt on kit available in Australia....but they have stopped advertising them. I sent the company an email but they never bothered to respond. I have fitted a rotary damper to mine but had to make the fitting kit myself. I'll see if I can find the photos and post here.

This is the only photo I can find at the moment and its of my wifes X-Country fitting, though its the same as setup as a Challenge. The damper itself is a Chinese copy of an Ohlins. Works fine, though not quite as sharp as a 'good' damper. Still, it cost €100 delivered so that was a result, and it does work.

Thats a nice set up snowy, Britannia comp screen, had two of them myself.

Looked on their site and it must be discontinued now as not listed.

They never really had them advertised properly it was just that I contacted them when someone on the KTM forum did a group buy and they said they did do a kit for the X challenge. Worth an email maybe?

Not my bike although I had the same damper kit on mine. This bike is for sale on eBay at the moment.

Yeah that might be an option, have a workshop at work.

We are back now, though the bikes won't be till end next week. I need to take some more photos as I only have the ones for my bike (with Erik's front fairing mount) and we mounted that a different way to what I think you need.

Thank you, just need to find a reasonably priced damper now.
