It was put to me that it is usually the top bearing that exhibits signs of wear, is this correct?
I adjusted the head bearings on my 900 diversion over the weekend. The top bearing was removed, cleaned, no marks evident, all put back in place. notchiness now all gone, but by comparison to the notchiness of the BM this was very minor.
The top bearing on the Divvy is smaller than the bottom one, so takes more of a hammering, I guess?
