the stella alpina rally, is a rally in the foothills of the italian alps. bardenecchia is the village that it is held in,you sign in on the campsite then ride up the mountain to get your badge,but not on tarmac its a dirt road which takes you up to the snow line sometimes only a few miles or it could be 10 to 15 miles or more, it can get very muddy
