the somm is easy to ride up - there is still prob snow at the top so making it right to the barrier will be the hardest part.

half the wooden barrier was missing when i was there last year and lots of stone barriers in place to stop twats going off the main route.

when going down and by the reservoir dont bother going on the RH side of it - thats closed with a wire fence - some maps show it as a through route.

A good local ride is Colle della Rho / tre croci (3 crosses) its at the top of the village, everyone knows where it is - road is " closed" fri-sunday though.

its worth making the effort. when u get to the top there is an area to park and you can look over the town and valley - there is a sign warning you going further " at your risk etc" its rough and narrow but opens up after a while and leads to old bunkers etc - take a torch and enjoy.

its the hardest legal riding road in the area IMHO
