I was wondering if one of you had used the above ferry with the bike.

I was told that cars are parked on the upper deck in the open and was hoping that that wouldn't be the case with the bike.

HI, we used this in july this year …..the bikes were loaded in with the trucks .level three i think we were on …..never saw any cars on the top deck .. the boat was an overnight boat we took ,so I'm thinking your taking the same one?

I can't imagine any ferries having vehicles on the open top deck !

Thanks for coming back.

I know it sounds a bit daft!

I had a look at You Tube and it shows cars on an open top deck for this boat. I also remember reading some threads on the LD Line Ferries to Spain and they complained about bikes on the open top deck.

Used this earlier on on this year, no ratchet straps or rope to secure bike. Used a thin strap and no matter how hard I tried to tighten it, it was not completely tight. Was my only experience on the boat, might have changed since June

on it in september and strapped and loops in floor as it should be

no problems and there were some fat bikes and they didnt go anywhere :D

think there was an earlier issue with P and O ferries not strapping a bike in ..but stena belfast to liverpool they did a real good job with proper straps and foam over the seats .no complaints here

Used it twice on 4 wheels.
First was a people carrier and second delivering a sports car... Each time I was put in the upper, outside deck. Vehicles covered in salt on arrival. Didn't see any bikes though.

Thanks Betty et al for the feed back.
