Zooid now happy bunny-splendid

so is normal to have to tidy up with a grinder? I ask as the rear mounts on mine are a long way off asymetrical, one is considerably thicker and contacts the cam cover plate when I try to push it into position, looks like it needs a few mm shaved off.?Also, the rubber strips, do you just glue them anywhere the guard makes contact, they are cut to size for a reason I assume, just cant seem to work it out??:nenau

well to answer my own questions-
1.Yes a little bit of fettling with a die grinder and drilling the front mount hole out a poofteenth and they fit nice and snug without placing any excess stress on the bolts and I worked out the rubber mounting after a bit of searching.Very happy, they would give a jellyfish a fat!:beerjug::thumb

I modified my head guards a while ago. I cut "slots" in the head guards where the bolts were (ok, oval holes).

This allows the head guard to compress a bit onto the rocker cover itself. I've used a 5mm rubber sheet to coat the back of the head guard so it doesn't damage the cover.

I did this as after binning the bike the guards worked excellently but the bolts holding it on near on snapped off so hopefully this will just leave bent bolts and not snapped off studs should it happen again.

Head guards

Pm sent, and dibs if not away yet.

I've found one more set of headguards - i'll put them on the gsshop website.

First come first served.

Any more to come?

Are these likely to come back in stock in the near (or not so near) future?
Have Hepco and Becker bars fitted at the moment but they are a bit wide and ugly for me.
cheers
Griff

Hi Its Mike here, I kind of booked in for a service on my 2002 GSA - we agreed I'd call back and confirm the exact date Sat.

Can I grab a set of these and you fit on the service?

Thanks, Mike
