weather

Sorry Skiuppy but Forecast is for a sunny warm coming week in the UK
Today was a delicious 16 degrees and sunny!
but.......high winds and heavy rains for most of Europe from 31st March onwards :augie
Always the same at Easter break.... Seems the 'go do one' bunch are going to get wet......
take it easy boys
11 start 5 finish together

Will be flying into Fes tomorrow morning. Weather forecast for the coming week is a mix of scattered showers, light rain, part cloud, whatever. Temperature about the same as in the UK today. :(

Oh, and 12 start, six finish together.

Tim

shame 4 U Tim

Pity but Easter is often like that- who knows...maybe a fair wind from Mauritania might warm things up but best take wetties :D just in case
Still the tagines should be nice
Bon voyage

Got a txt from Whatton to say that him and James arrived in Marakesh at 21.00 last night. Paul and Lucy have gone off somewhere on their own.

Whatton and James are visiting the site where Gladiator was filmed. Hope they don't strip down to wrestling trucks for photos

I'll go for 10 leaving Calais - 9 returning.

I reckon the group stayed together thru France - then 1 of them - lets say Darkhorse left the group & made his own way thru Spain.

At Madrid things would have got a bit iffy with the group getting split up into a few groups:mmmm

One of them - which is why I say 9 return - who hasnt got a GPS gets totally lost in Madrid for a great length of time.

When he finally gets out on the road to Granada he gets delayed in a massive thunderstorm.

After the thunderstorm he gets totally stopped in an horrific hailstorm which brings him to a complete standstill - putting 2" of hail on the road.

Anyway after all this - with about an hour before dusk - he sets off again only to find that his headlamp has blown.:spitfire :spitfire

After fixing the light this poor unfortunate wretch is now approx 3 hours behind and 200 miles behind the others.
Darkness is now almost upon him so with the greatest of regret he gives up the chase & goes to indulge in the luxury of the local Parador for the night:thumb2

Anyway enough of this - I'm off to the shops to buy a GPS;) ;)

any one getting a ferry mon. or tues this comeing week????

hello all,

Garry and i was due to get a ferry to Morocco today however very saddly and with some painfull sounds Garrys gearbox gave up the will to live! He has joined the RAC tour group back home. I am currently in Gibalter and looking to get a ferry Monday or Tuesday, the crossing and time has get to be fixed.

I should still be able to have 10-14 days in Morocco but dont fancy going off peaste by myself. So if anybody is in South Spain or North MOrroco and fancys one more please post a replie.

Apart from that all was going well.

All the best,

Adam

Steptoe picked up the punture from hell as we were leaving Morocco.

An 8mm bolt about 15cm long burried itselt into his tyre. Left it in place until we got to the hotel in Spain on Friday night. Plugged with two BumW repair plugs and a can of gunky 'run flat' gloop.

Tyre still keeps deflating and he is making steady progess northwards at about 50 mph, very bored and cheesed off.

I got back home about 6pm tonight - did the dash back from Spain on my own. Just heard from Steptoe that he managed to get to Rouen tonight so he should be home on Monday. Not heard about the rest.

10 left calais, 1 dropped put at Madrid (see earlier post) all other 9 met up at Algeciras. Another three joined us there. Making 12 cossing to Morocco.

One went his own way in Morocco - rest stayed together (more or less), 2 picked up a speeding "fine" (!!!). Then Steptoe's puncture and us all making different arrangements for the "coming home".

An absolutely terrific trip - many thanks to Steptoe and all the others that made it such a great time.

Made a dash for it on my own today, back home 930 this evening.

A pure brilliant trip, great roads, great company etc..

4500 mile round trip, 960 being the longest day

Many many thanks to Steptoe

ps my 1200ADV didn't miss a beat
