We’re on our Germany/Austria trip and met up with Stever1 in Füssen .
Anyway , he mentioned that I could resync the DCT ratios .

Simple 5 minute job.


Did it last night with just over 5000 miles on bike .

Such a difference today . It was fine before but now the gear changes are almost imperceptible!!

Also mentioned my park brake wasn’t holding so he sent me links from workshop manual

Didn’t do the cable side as no tape measure but adjust the calliper side with help of Evskij.

Simply loosen bolt with bike on main stand. Apply park brake to one click then tighten screw whilst rotating rear wheel until you feel some resistance . Then retighten nut .

Tool 2 minutes and now park brake works as from new .

Would never have known both jobs were so easy if not met Steve . In fact didn’t even know you could resync DCT . Will do it every few months as soon as simple .

Yes it’s for any DCT system. I believe The button sequence is the same.
Incidentally, I did it on my new NC750x DCT at about 1800 miles once it had bedded in.
 
I know some have done the DCT reset on CRF1000s, mine is at c32k miles and hasn't had any issues at all but maybe a reset will give it a bit more spark (I don't think it's missing any)

I don’t think it’ll give it any more spark, it just smooths out the gear changes.
 
Remember doing both on the DCT Crosstourer a few years back.
Worth the effort.
