Apparently the 62 plate is being extended to accomodate some people who are superstitious.... Just wondered how many new lc's will have 62 plates . I'm going for a 13 plate to attempt a cheapskate personalised plate ( 13 = B ).

Funnily enough I was very close to signing for a new audi until the salesman mentioned a 13 plate

My birthday is on the 13th, so I almost bought a numberplate on the DVLA website with my initials i.e. **13 BMW, but SWMBO thought £999 was a waste of money

No use to me yet though as I won't be buying a new bike until next year at the earliest

vanity plate means nothing to me, as i do not wish to impress anyone, talking to a tosser at bike meet once and he told me he had saved money because is 1200gs was on a pre-reg plate, he told said "i was buying a bike not a number plate". but given a choice i would not take a 13 plate, just like folk prefer 12a to number 13 on a house.

I think you may be correct, lots of 13 plates in the dealers now waiting to go out in March.

If you live in RoI the govt. have thoughtfully changed the number to 131 on the new plates to accomodate those of a superstitious disposition
