Not sure if this is a tchnical question but my GS1200 has a sticker on the tank warning that the servo brakes don't work if the ignition is switched off.

I hate stickers on bikes (especially the tank) and this one is particulalry difficult to remove. I have tried polish and tar remover etc but to little effect. I wonder if anyone has any suggestion that won't damage the tank.

Thanks

Try warming it with a hairdryer, then picking it off. Residue can be removed with white spirit or petrol, then wash, dry and polish the tank.

Mike:)

ps When pushing it back from the kitchen window, where you've had to move it because the hairdryer will reach OK from there, don't forget that the brakes won't work properly unless the ignition is switched on...

Feck me!!! don't ever put anything hot, like a hair dryer, near one of those plastic monstrosities...with all that plastic it'll go into meltdown :D

Tried hair drier - it worked!!

Seems theplastic is tougher than you may think. Took a while to get off (an hour!!) but its fine.

Thanks for the tip:)
