i have the rear stop light staying on now and then from the handlebar lever as it is sticking in the on position.
i have lubed it which has helped but not cured the problem.
the bike is a 1150gs adventure can someone suggest how i get to the switch itself as you cannot see it due to all the gubbins in the way. i have had the handguard and lever off but still cannot see the switch, where is it?.

You're welcome :)

In my experience, once these little switches go on the blink, they're usually bin-fodder. Might be worth tinkering but it's kind of putting off the inevitable.

You wouldn't have any instructions for fitting heated grips to a 12GS by any chance would you ?

Mine is the only R12GS I have seen without them. Just my luck.

Ermm ... not on me just at this moment, no ... I'm not a total anorak

If my memory doesn't fail me I'll get you them tomorrow though, unless some obliging chap here has a cd to hand?

Just noticed my 1150 doing the same. WD'd it & this appears to have cured it. The n came indoors and searched for similar problems.Still a bit concerned as the last time this happened, ended up having two master cylinders (one of the new ones was faulty!!!!!!!!!!), and a servo pump.

How much is this little swith cost then? Still got 3 months warrantee left, but curious non the less.

More crap from the GS, after stopping and getting back on again, the ABS lights weren't normal sequence, no servo, then servo back again. Anyone else experienced this? Or are my nagging doubts coming true, should I sell the bastard before the warrantee expires? Although, it is still the best bike I've had / tested.
