Down and left a bit.
Ok so i decided i have a sticky rear brake. i confirmed this by takin the caliper off and the wheel rotated freely. With the caliper on i could hear the disc rubbing on the pads and felt a little tight......

I took it all apart today cleaned everything, re greased and put it back together and guess what.......

Its still sticky !!!!

What do i do now ???????????? :aidan

Well, could be the disc is warped. The pistons in the calipers could be failing to retract completely. There has been a lot of similar posts on here that might help your query

When you had the caliper off, did the pistons push back into the caliper easily, does the caliper slide freely?
If all is ok, could well be a warped disc, I replaced one on a customers bike only last week.
Give me a shout & we will have a quick look for you.

Yes , they were easily pushed in.:aidan

Not so sure about this, it feels a little sticky to move.:oonyack

How much grease do you need ??? i did not over do it to the point it was oozing out ... and i think one of the rubbers is shot.

The stickyness feels the same through the full rotation of the wheel, it doesnt feel like it sticks more in one spot and then frees up...:beerjug:

Also BMW quoted me £100 to bleed my brakes and replace the fluid... I nearly poked him in the eye with a sharp stick !!!!! :mcgun

Why? at 2008 prices this would not appear excessive.

I am assuming from the £100 quote you have an 1150 with servo ABS, Ithink we could bleed the brakes for a bit less than that, & have a look at the binding problem for you.
Give me a call.
