Stiff choke!!!!

Went out to the bike this evening and went to pull the choke but it would only move a couple of millimetres. It has never done this before and I have not been working at the bike at all other than cleaning. Any advice welcome ( even the witty stuff) . It is an 03 1150GS by the way. Thanks

Started no probs and ran like it always has...sweet as a nut. I willl try WD40 in and around it. Maybe lack of use due to the good weather. Thanks anyhow.
