Just got some stickers from BMW UK to stick in my OEM handgrips. Finally BMW acknowledge the problem with handgrips and binding clutch/brake levers. Anyone else received them? Thought I might have been singled out cos I made a warranty claim for the clutch slipping. Only four years late!

No, I`ve got them as well but won`t be fitting them. In fact, I`ve binned them in a fit of pique:augie

It`s utter bollox IMHO but i understand why BuMW have had to do it. Their legal department have probably gone into overdrive at the prospect of someone incompetent muppet sueing the arse of them. I`ve had it happen, as have a lot of others, but it`s surely not an issue.

FFS, the day I don`t check the bike and realise my handguards are fouling the levers is the day they nail the feckin lid down. If I did ride the bike like this and fecked something up, I`d be a mixture of embarressed and feckin angry at my stupidity:rolleyes:

This is for all the "new" breed of bikers who don`t know how to, or won`t bother checking their bikes and will quite happily blame anyone but themselves.:rob

I blame nemeziz:firemth

And breathe...........................

Got them, into the file of the bike they went.

Yeah - I got them (and binned them) today - couldn't agree more with the sentiments express above.

How long before we're not allowed to ride the feckin things at all - just in case we fall off!!

:D I got mine today, and I carefully applied them, they are sent out for a reason you know ?:augie

Got my letter and stickers today too, but already knew of the possible problems by reading threads in this forum. Good to know that by being here we are ahead of the company. Pity then that they have still to acknowledge some of the other major issues we know about. Cheers everyone.

Why not just send us a voucher for a new set of improved handguards if they are that concerned about it?

Well a previous Harley I owned had stickers on the wheels that said:

"Caution, these tyres contain air under pressure" :blast
