I recently had the nerve jangling experience to ride tracks more than just fire trails. I’m comfortable with standing up but always had my right foot over the rear brake. Recognising my rubbish technique I came across this video which says to steer by dropping the heels. It does work (tried on tarmac) but as a result you have to stand on the balls of your feet and move the right foot forwards to brake. Now that feels tricky when your bike is bouncing around below.

Any comments - just persevere?

I went round the side, not up the middle 😂
