Next year we will be driving cross France in the car to get to Calonge in Northern Spain for a family holiday. We are a family of 9, myself, my wife and 7 children!

With this number of people we cannot get 2 normal IBIS or similar rooms for us and need something different. Can anyone recommend anywhere that would accommodate this number of children with 2 adults somewhere part way down France? We are looking to break the journey in both directions so somewhere in the middleish would be great. Arriving into Calais on Le Shuttle.

Many thanks

Nigel

Some hotels do have jack and jill rooms. So you could get 3 rooms - 2 of which have this set up to act as one big connected room.

Alternatively look at Hostels, flats or apartments. There are usually options on sites such as Booking.com. Or Airbnb

What's not to like? This - 'share bathroom and toilets for every ten cells'.

Here

A place in Rochefort we stayed at twice now. Self contained apartments in an old converted naval hospital.
@Bonnie Tyler will have some pictures of the place, but last time I stayed there, we had a huge 3 bedroom apartment for not allot of money and it was huuuuuuugggggggeeeeee! Honestly a miniature Wembley stadium.
