Thanks Phil Magill, that’s just the kind of thing I was thinking. Was hoping for a Goretex as the infinium doesn’t seem to be totally waterproof. Maybe it’s impossibly to get a stretchy waterproof fabric though.

I have one of those, HALVARSSONS WATERPROOF NECK COLLAR
Combined with the Rukka collar worked very well for me in heavy rain although I think only the front is waterproof

And out of stock until last January......
Maybe just me, but I've got the storm collar on my Rukka and find it does restrict your head movement if you fasten it under your helmet strap, so just have it sitting butting up to the base of the helmet. They are great at keeping you drier though.
