So, seems I’ve dropped a major b*****k, my shed in my back garden is accessed through 2 locked gates, 90 degrees to each other. Trouble is…

A. the gates are about 50mm too narrow to get the handlebars through (according to official dimensions)

B. The distance from 1st gate to 2nd is to short to turn the bike 90 degrees.

Any ideas? Thought about a dolly, either on centre stand or full wheeled one, then tilt the bars to narrow it a bit?

Not sure, hopefully those who have owned one for some time will have some ideas 😂 It’s due to arrive this weekend.

TIA

I reckon you will be fine, pass the bars through, like a canoeist, forward and through with the right bar, lean over couple of degrees and push left bar through the gateway.

centre stand dolly sounds your best bet as you can manouevre the bike on the dolly. may have to remove and rehang gates, moving hinges etc. in which case, put gates in-line?

One bar through, wiggle and the other bar through, think of it as hardcore filtering

If I have to do some DIY to the gate then so be it. I think a centre stand dolly seems a reasonable purchase to make life a whole lot easier.
