I have this fault on my 2000 1150. only every now and then. the cure or fix I have is to use the horn and that stops it for a few trips. So if any of you boffins can work out why that would be the case I would be glad to hear.
Strange behaviour of indicators on 1150GS

Bloody fault came back on mine, double rate flashing on the indicators BUT only when the headlights are on, when the bike is on sidelights or the lights are switched off the indicators work fine.
My flasher unit works fine with no glitches on a mates r850 as does my spare and his flasher unit is ok on my bike ,
I only tries it for a couple of minutes on his bike as I don't want a fault on my bike to fritz his relay.(not at £60)
Anyway I went through the full loom and checked and cleaned all of the earth points to no avail.
All of the bulbs in my bike are correct and the hazards have continued to work fine. In desperation I dug out an inline resistor I had lying about (the type used when fitting led indicators) and wired it into the rear offside indicator and it solved the problem straight away.
Can anyone explain ?
I did suspect and earthing fault on the indicators as they share a common earth with the headlights but it is also shared with the side lights so I think it rules that one out
