Anybody know what the connector under the luggagerack is for on a 2005 1150GS Adv ?

Is there supposed to be a protective cap on it, because mine is totaly open and dirty ?

Is something supposed to be connected to it ?

Mine is open and everything's working ok.

It's the same type connector as the NTC plug that measures the airtemperature in the airfilter under the saddle.

Thnx

On the earlier bikes it's for the charcoal canister on US models. I'm guessing yours is the same. You probably have a spare threaded hole on the frame as well.

Found out it's a cable to connect the optional potmeter to, if one decides to get rid of the kat.
