whats the best straps to use to secure this sort of luggage:beerjug: dont want to end up buying the wrong ones

Rok straps are the best IMHO. Very effective and way better than anything else I have.

Get the straps BMW use to strap the new bikes into their cases. They'll give a few for free, and they'll last a lifetime. . ;)

He speaks the truth :), I was running low on tie downs for an upcoming trip, as a lot of my mates forget them (maybe it's knowing I have spares), so following previous sage like advice from Steptoe and JB, I asked the dealer at the weekend when I had my GSA serviced, and I found half a dozen pristine tie downs in my top box on collecting it.

Free and better than bungee / rok etc imho. Great for securing luggage and for tie down on the ferry.

Plus write your name on them in indelible ink. And use them around your suitcases and bags when flying. :thumb2

Spooky.

I asked Vines what was best last week and they have put some of the aforementioned new bike straps aside for me to pick up when I get my Akra fitted in the next couple of days.

So... +1 :thumb2
