Went to Strathearn tyres this afternoon and got shod with a pair of BT 020’s for £195 all in.
Very pleased that they had them in stock and, as always, very confident with their service.
However. Question is this. Who was looking for me and had called in before I got there to see if I’d been in yet????
They picked up on a post from last night apparently and asked for me by name with Craig. Speak up at the back there laddie, was it you?
Two things learned today.
1) I know somebody with a yellow R1, which is a revelation to me but there
you go
2) I really, really must most definitely read the instruction book for my
camera :blast
Scrubbing in the new shoes on the way home was such a task as well..............Aye right.
Crieff to Lochearnside, then along Achray to the Dukes pass. Went a bit silly on the way up I must confess :o but it was fun and the bike really was tipping in faster.
Down into Aberfoyle and then took a detour out to Inversnaid looking for a photo opportunity. There wasn’t one really as it was getting a bit late. Not my fault – honest.
Inversnaid back to Aberfoyle, then past Drymen onto Balloch, the Erskine bridge and home for a glass of wine.
Lovely. Tyres scrubbed in and a big grin thrown in for free. A good way to start the beginning of Spring :D
For info - The top end of Loch Lomond, both east and west must have had a helluva downpour this morning or last night.
Plenty of standing water and gravel runs all over so be aware if heading that way tomorrow or over the weekend

A yellow R1? What colour is Blackal's bike? I ken his leathers are a braw yellow colour :thumb

Aye - it was me................... :blast

I took a wee run up to Crieff today, and thought you might have been there........................ :augie

That's a pity. I never knew you had an R1 though! At your age too....

I'd have sprung for the Lattes in the Stenhouse cafe an all.....oh well, next time
Hardcore stuff.

Erm, you're not looking to get back into a proper job are you?

:hide

:D

 Looks as though it's doing 160 on its side stand!

Mean looking bike. I like it. Paint choice has to be a Carlsberg moment :thumb2

I had an anniversary R1 traded it in for my ADV SE, loved the yamaha I think it will be classic one day, great paint scheme memories of Eddie Lawson........:)

Al I quite enjoy the tractor, after 4 years with a 929 blade and then the R1 it's a nice change to be able to sit up and see the scenery but what really clinched it was realising that every time I went out on the Yam I was risking my licence which I need for my job, I'm now a Police friendly biker, well just for a wee while...........:)
