I think that some BMW dealers must be getting desperate to shift their stocks of Navigators. I have had a Garmin SPIII Deluxe for about 18 months. In that time I have had:
and I haven't paid a single penny for any of them. Full details are available (in English!) on the Garmin website. I do expect to have to pay for my next City Navigator update, but given that the price differential between the SPIII and the Navigator is now several hundred pounds (for what is, to all intents and purposes, the same unit), that will pay for City Navigator updates for several years to come - that is assuming that the updates are free from BMW.
I really can see no point in buying the BMW Navigator unless you can get it for under £800.
