Just took my GS 800 to these chaps after hearing good things about them. Had 6000mile service and annual once over. Top notch, friendly and very reasonable rates. Loan bike no probs. Bike now running sweet as the proverbial nut, a few little niggles found and sorted. Well pleased and can heartily recommend to anyone within striking distance.
Have a google on their wwwebthingie.
They are BMW specialists (Mike and Tim both ex Motoraad men), and also have a showroom full of rather lovely Royal Enfields to browse while u wait

That's good to know- thanks for the tip. My GS is nearly 10 years old and after a couple of niggles with the quality of workshopping skills displayed by the dealership have been considering an indy specialist.

Just had the 48K done on my 06 GSA. Second time it been serviced by Mike. I'd rather use these guys than the local franchise.
