Hi all,

I'm struggling to find someone who can help me with replacing a clutch on an aging K1200 (2004). So firstly, apologies if I'm posting in wrong place - please direct me back to where I should go....

Cotswold Motorrad have been helpful, but expensive, so I'm after an independant. My local guy, Rolling Art Motorcycles (www.rollingartmotorcycles.com) was amazing in getting her up and runnning, but just doesn't have the tools (or is that time/inclination) to do the clutch rebuild.

Any suggestions please?

Otherwise, I'll sell on to someone who wants a bargin and doesn't mind a bit of slippage in top :)

(edit - make that top, 5th and now 4th... :( )

Nick

Call Darren Studley, Studley Motorcycles, Dorchester.

He is ex BMW and looks after a lot of owners bikes on here..

Best of luck,

Dave.

Thanks guys - they are both pretty convenient for me, the one in Studley more so. Will give Darren a call first. (y)

Seeking clutch basket

Hi Smug,

I am interested in your clutch basket P/N: 21 21 7 724 328.
I do understand it has been bought brand new from the dealer and made 50 miles before removal ?
Would you be so kind to post it to Europe, say Germany ? I live near Zurich.
If yes how could we proceed ?
You can email me at [email protected] or reach at +41763013032.
Regards
Peter

If you are interested I have a Barnett clutch friction kit 306-17-20011 which has done 50 miles. Yours for £70. http://www.motorcycle-road-and-race.co.uk/barnett-clutch-kit-bmw-k1200-and-k1300-all-years

I also have a BMW clutch basket 21 21 7 724 328 complete with oil pump drive sprocket which has done 50 miles. Yours for £380.

I also have a Lamellar pack 21 21 7 724 443 which has done 50 miles. Yours for £210.

I've been a little tardy in bringing this post to conclusion. Thanks to everyone's comments (and I've only just read yours, Smug) and I am really pleased to have been put in touch with Darren at Studley Motorcycles. A smashing bloke and top-notch service. He kept me updated with everything, took photos of the break-down. Never swore at me once for keeping the bike in such bad condition (yeah, sorry about that..) and returned the bike in fantastic condition. Yup, a glowing report! The only downside was when he said he expected to see it in the same clean condition for the next visit.

Well done Nick. Glad you got sorted and Darren did the business.
