I have an R1100gs, 94 plate, 20,000mls, picked up recently, bought sold as seen with full service history.
Bike has been stored outside for sometime, when I picked bike up, it would not start so had to be jumped, believing this to be low battery, took bike for a long ride in vain attempt to charge unit, next time went to start, still would not turn over.
Purchased a new battery and same thing happened, will only turn over after overnight charge, worried about taking bike far, might not start again later.
Bike has Sola Alarm fitted, is this the problem, some say a faulty earth, others consider the starter. I do not know where to start.
Please help.
