I've fitted std headers with cat removed from the R and fitted a stubby Akra, sounds sweet.
My good friend from Exhaust Craft did all the pipe work and removed the exhaust flap. I just need someone to make me a nice bracket now in carbon or TI that comes from behind the rear set, rather than that temp bracket from pillion foot rest.

Crap pics but you get idea

I am liking the stubby Akra
Is it the s1000r Akra ?

Only thing I don't like is the hanger it looks wrong and will continue to do so whatever its made from

I am still waiting for Yoshi to do a nice can or termignoni

It is the r akra, I agree on the bracket, it's temp, the finished bracket will be hardly seen as I will use a bolt from the rear set and bring it behind the carbon heel plate .

I await the to come as i may look into that option
I hate the Bike specific Akra never mind the price they want which is just ridiculous and as said await offerings from yoshi and termi

I don't actually mind the standard can for its sound

i had the same problem with my monster, i did away with the bracket, tig welded some spring loops on and clamped it up 2 yrs on no issues, the end can on the duke weighs more than than the rr arka so you might be ok

this is the bike

I emailed Termi 3 weeks ago, as I'd prefer a higher exhaust, as I won't be using panniers. They haven't bothered to reply.

Thats Italians for ya ! Makes you wonder why we want to be in the EU :D:D

I e mailed Yoshi 2 weeks ago and no answer from them either.

I'm not unhappy with the OE box and the Headers seem ok to me too.

BUT I'd like to be rid of the Cat, is anyone doing a lump of pipe to achieve this?

New bracket

Made a new bracket as previous post , 2 MM s/s that fits nicely behind the carbon heel plate

Db killer

Had a good run on it now, a shame but it's far to noisy, I have seen db killers but need some advice, help.
How much reduction is possible and is a link pipe db better or worse than the can one, or can you fit both ?

Cheers

looks similar to the Austin system , I think you will find you will be down on power from stock by the time you get it quiet enough
