Right then - just been looking at the 'wanted' section and spotted that you guys sometimes remove the can and pop a (homemade?) stubby pipe on.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the the NOISE my GSA would make and whether it affects the fuelling/set up as I want to make sure the fuelling is capable of adjusting itself correctly...

CHeers for any help people:bow

hardly any diff in noise, nice an rorty,, slight increase in midrange, no fuelin probs, take silencer off an try it,
went on a 5000 mile trip like this, even cut half the cat out an it wasnt noisy really, an still ran ok

What he said ...

... mine has gone through two MoT's with the stubby in place, no problem :thumb2

The main advantage of running a stubby is that you can have same size panniers on each side of the bike. :)

oh yeah...

My touratech zegas will look pretty lop sided now!

Mind you, as I fell off grenn laning the other day they are lop sided anyway...:D

Mines been through 2 MOT's, and done about 10,000 miles, slightly ever so slightly louder. Can't say I ever noticed any change in fuel consumption, or performace. Just weighs quite a bit less, as you will find when you remove your silencer. I

Stubbies and water?

Does having a stubby on make any difference when you go through a ford?

The first one I hit my panniers took off the wing mirror... no probs.

However last week my exhaust did get stuck on the bumper so maybe a stubby would be a good idea! :thumb
