Anyone passed with a stubby?

Just spent a happy hour sticking the BMW can back on for MOT this weekend. Have I wasted my time?

Stubby goes straight back on after the MOT, the can looks awful :(

An hour to bolt a silencer on ??

i hope that included making 3 cups of tea and checking the valves....:bounce1

Seized bolts, Y piece to remove off old can, pannier frame spacers made, tool tube removed, two fags and a Cornetto out of the freezer in the garage :)

Mine twice too (seems to be a theme here!) and never been mentioned - mind you he also passed my FJ1200 with a Renegade exhaust on so perhaps he is just deaf!

Hi All
Twice now, when I took the bike the 1st time the guy testing the bike asked me where the tail pipe was? I told him keeping the shed door open :augie His reply was 'Best place for it!' :aidan

Kev,I don't know where you normally go for your MOTs but have a ride upto Granby Motors at (surprisingly) Granby.Get Jim to have a quick look at it,he will tell you one way or the other if it's O.K.

Cheers Dave, I may do that next year, Granby is only three mile away from me. I'm booked in at Autocraft on the A52 near Gamston tomorrow and I've stuck the old can back on.

Are you from the vale too? :)

How bizarre. I used them a couple of years ago. and come renewal time, rang them and they told me they had finished doing bike MOTs and said they were sending all their business to a small car place on Colwick road.

So they've started up again? thats useful to know.

However too late for me now.. booked with CC next tues. (I may well stick with them as they have no vested interest in failing a bike for a trivial matter to make a few quid - NOT that I'm suggesting autocraft do that - they were fine with me when I used em last :thumb2 )
