added bonus

just fitted one of Bryns stubbies with Cat to 2001 1150. Not v loud at all. Added bonus, it seems to have cured final drive/gearbox noise which has been driving me nuts !!

Is it drowning out the noise or what? :D

Glad you're happy with it... :beerjug:

Seems a good idea to soak the old clamp.. mine came off straight the way with no problems... some have been a bit of a pain ;)

Lets have some pictures when fitted :thumb2

fitted with no problems, except the old can had the captive nuts for the passenger footrest. quick trip to local fixings emporium sorted that. still not very loud, the cat must have a lot of baffle inside. nowhere near as loud as my harley. perhaps i need to try a 'y' piece as well. a bit more weight saved. thanks.

Glad you're happy with it :thumb Think it will make your ears bleed with the y piece ;)

Meanwhile 4 left.. any takers ? :beerjug:

Stubby pipe

I removed my Y piece and standard silencer and refitted the cat with one of Bryn's stubby pipes a couple of weeks ago. Definitely an improvement because sounds better - only a little louder, but more character, more like my old air colled Boxers sounded; has completely cut out the backfiring I was geting when decelerating since I fitted the Y piece; and the bike accelerates much better- in comparison was always slightly asthmatic before. So grab one off Bryn before he sells out! (what was that percentage again Bryn?:thumb)

3 left ;)

Does sound better. Made me laugh when I was at Porsmouth Hein Gericke, I was trying to buy a pair of Cruise short leg pants (another story:blast) I said to the saleman, who incidentally was extremely helpful:thumb2 about the stubby pipe.

We went outside & I got the key to start it up, bloke outside on a mobile said to the person on the other end "I'll have to hang up, some bloke is about to fire up his bike & all he's got is a slash cut pipe" He couldn't believe how quiet it was.:aidan

Definitely tell a difference, a burble is always there behind your left shoulder, very nice:):thumb2 better noise on the overun.

Anyone else fancy one of these ?

I've got one on the list for the next batch.. It'd be nice to know how many to go for ;)

Hi Bryn,
Could you put me on the list for one of the next batch.

Cheers,Kav.:thumb2
