Tony, great idea but my 'bender guy' :ymca had problems putting in the required double bend (the exhaust on the 12 comes out at 45degrees and then up at 45 degrees...) Looking at the diagram the 12RT looks different to the GS

the other thing is the fact (tell me I'm wrong someone) that the GS12 (and possibly the 12RT) has a cat ...in the final can?

:thumb

PS: Now 5 1150 Stubby's left :)

The CAT is in the oval shape (first part of the diagram) - not in the muffler. I thought a single bend, perhaps even a straight pipe, would suffice to direct the exhaust away from footpegs and panniers

Finally fitted mine. Thanks Bryn :thumb2. It only took 5 minutes to fit it on, but 4 hours 35 minutes to cut off the seized nut holding the can to the Cat..... In the end I had to get a nut splitter from screwfix and also attacked with a Dremel but it finally came off at 12.04am.:clap

So, should there be a little bit of play in these when fitted or do I just keep tightening the clamp until it moves no more? And presumably the tape is for sticking on to the sticky out bit coming from the cat, to make the stubby fit nicer? or have I ballsed that up as well....:blast

Thanks for the enquiry.... could I persuade you to become a SUBSCRIBED TOSSER

That way you can send me a private message and you can take full advantage of the For Sale and Wanted section, and the stuff over here on Vendors ;)

Cheers Bryn :beerjug:

No. I was a member here long before subscription (anyone else remember the Yahoo email group?). I was then an unsubscribed member on a matter of principle. Then, for a few years, I was a subscribed member for a matter of pragmatics. But, currently, I am unsubscribed, and staying that way.
£25 was the quoted price. If it is £25 plus £15 subscription then I shall pass, Thanks anyway.

I really struggle to understand folk who are this tight, do you always expect to get things for nowt:confused:[/QUOTE]

The whole idea of ukgser is to bring together a group of like minded riders for a bit of banter, a few bargains, to make new friends and have a great time at events....

If thats not worth less than 3p a day then tight isnt the right word ;)

I get my subscription back a hundred fold with the stuff I've bought on here, and sold on here as well .....

I'll bring a few Stubby's to Baskerville if anyone's interested :thumb

Just looked at how my posting looked, the 'quote'
my thoughts exactly
doesn't really look right, :blast Just to clarify it's not my comment. I can't understand these people who want something for nothing. Totally agree with you Bryn, less than 3p a day is a bargain.

Even if I'd never bought or sold anything & didn't receive any extra features by subscribing, I'd still thing it was good value. Steptoe's comments alone on various maintainence things have been worth the subscription.

The site doesn't run it's self, someone has to do the work & I for one don't mind contributing.:)

As for the 'Stubbies', great value I love the sound mine makes. If you can get something similar for less than £40, never mind £25, I'd be surprised. Cheers Bryn:thumb2
